The popularity of Pilates has increased enormously over the past decade resulting in a proliferation of Pilates style programmes that bear very little resemblance to the pure exercise method taught by Joseph Pilates. Although promoted in the media as Pilates classes, they are often merely a combination of what they call Pilates and other already existing exercise methods and as such can never achieve the same results.

The Pilates Studio is the only institute in the Benelux certified to train teachers in the authentic pure Pilates Method. The teacher training courses are for everyone who recognises the value of the pure Pilates method and is capable of communicating this physical and mental harmony to clients. It is advisable, but not necessary, that applicants have good social and communication skills as well as a background in sport or movement.
